The Biggest Oil Spill in U.S. History

The biggest oil spill in U.S. history,has started to be dealt with. They been trying to settle this with a settlement. The oil spill covered oil of the Gulf of Mexico along the water ways.

The BP is expecting to pay out 7.8 billion to cover the spill. People that live along the Gulf of Mexico are waiting to be paid for the damages of there resources, and if they don't think their paid enough they can sue. There was a settlement on Friday by the BP and everyone knows not the end. The soucre on CBS.com has said "The U.S. is trying to help the 5 states of the Gulf to make sure any damage claims that have been field are somehow restored for the benefit of the Gulf people."In August 2010 the people started to either get their money directly from BP on Feinburg run fund. The Feinburg Run Fund had $20 billion for it to be able to pay off individuals, businesses, environmental damage, and state and local response cost.

This spill managed to destroy many such as beaches, killed wildlife, and closed fishing areas. Many people sued like fishermen, cleanup workers , and others. These people either got sick , jobs were destroyed, and claimed harm from the spill in April 20,2010 gulf disaster. This happened one of the largest class action settlement. This spill was uncalled for it should have everyone running for  cover because the whole companying is to blame. The resources of these people have been destroyed, and they just want what they deserve.
